Grassroots Emergency Care Training in Action

To enhance emergency response preparedness across Nyandarua, EMKF partnered with H.E. Governor (Dr.) Moses N. Badilisha Kiarie to train 20 Community Health Assistants (CHAs) on Community Emergency Care at the Kenya Medical Training College, Ol’Kalou Sub-County.

At EMKF, we are equipping Community Health Workers with essential lifesaving skills through our Community Emergency Care Training Program.

This program empowers Community Health Workers to become first responders in their communities, teaching them how to:
✅ Recognise medical emergencies
✅ Provide immediate lifesaving interventions
✅ Mobilise and guide community first responders such as teachers, PSV drivers, boda-boda riders, volunteers, and police

By building this grassroots network of trained responders, we are ensuring that help is available where emergencies happen, reducing preventable deaths and strengthening Kenya’s emergency care system from the ground up. 🚑💙
