Our Courses

EMKF Courses are designed to enable the health workforce to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to respond with confidence to emergency situations and to deliver safe, evidence-based quality emergency care in any setting. Our courses encourages candidates to apply the knowledge and skills learnt within the context of the policies of the employing health service and within each individual’s own scope of practice. The courses are designed to meet the learning needs of health workforce working in emergency care settings (Community Health Workers (CHWs/CHVs), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Nurses, Clinical Officers and Medical Officers) who may be required to provide emergency care to the critically ill or injured patient.

Triage

Triage is the process of determining the priority of patients' treatments based on the severity of their condition.




Basic ECG Interpretation

The ECG program trains the clinicians on how to use ECG machines and interpret ECGs. Our commitment to improving emergency care across Kenya through education and research has led to increased access to ECGs and the science of ECG interpretation, especially in rural settings.

Point of Care Ultrasound #POCUS

#POCUS in clinical practice is an essential skill for healthcare providers involved in the acute and routine care of adults and children.
