Thyroid disorders exist on a spectrum from myxedema coma to thyroid storm, with a large area in between.

Thyroid Storms Reloaded

Management of thyroid storm entails searching for and treating that precipitating factor most commonly subtherapeutic antithyroid medication or infection.
