Last week, EMKF County Champions, who work in various emergency departments across Kenya, had the invaluable opportunity to visit the UK, thanks to our strong collaboration with Dharura Global Emergency Care.
During their visit, the team explored advanced emergency care systems at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, Children’s Hospital, and various pre-hospital services. This experience allowed them to observe firsthand how high-resource emergency healthcare systems function and learn innovative practices that can be adapted to enhance emergency medical services in the counties. The experience provided them with a deeper understanding of how advanced processes, protocols, and technologies can be implemented to streamline care and improve patient outcomes. These insights will become crucial as they work to implement changes in their own counties, from refining operational workflows to integrating technologies that elevate patient care.
As we continue to strengthen emergency medical care in Kenya, we remain committed to nurturing such partnerships and learning exchanges. These collaborations are vital for equipping healthcare providers with the knowledge and tools needed to strengthen emergency healthcare systems in Kenya to save lives.
