We are excited to share our EMKF Q2 Impact Report, which showcases our ongoing efforts to enhance emergency healthcare systems in Kenya and save lives.
In Q2, we kicked off with a transformative team-building event that brought together 40 of our team members, themed around reinforcing our core values (TIARI). We extended our efforts to support four counties in developing critical emergency medical care policies, marked by Trans Nzoia County’s groundbreaking launch of its first-ever emergency medical care policy. In Nakuru County, we significantly enhanced emergency response capabilities by supporting the installation of a County Integrated Emergency Dispatch Center. Additionally, we played a pivotal role with the Ministry of Health in finalizing new curricula for Emergency Medical Technicians and Vehicle Operators and new Emergency Medical Treatment Guidelines, driving forward our mission to enhance emergency care across Kenya.
The recent protests in Kenya have highlighted the critical need for a robust emergency healthcare system. We are committed to enhancing public ambulance services and emergency departments to manage such crises better, save lives, and reduce the severity of injuries.
I encourage you to review the Q2 Impact Report for a comprehensive overview of our achievements, challenges, and future plans. Your feedback and insights are invaluable as we strive to further our impact and reach our long-term goals.
