Today, Dr. Joseph Wahome, Chief Officer for Health, launched the County Emergency Medical Care (EMC) planning meeting, organized in partnership with EMKF. The meeting’s goal was to develop a comprehensive EMC Plan that strengthens the county’s emergency healthcare systems to meet national standards.

The key issues addressed included establishing an integrated county infrastructure to support universal access to emergency medical care, ensuring the highest quality of service delivery across the EMC system, providing mechanisms for financing emergency medical care, and developing a framework for human resource development and management in emergency medical care.
