Deepening Our Roots: EMKF’s 2024 Q1 Impact Report

We are pleased to share our Quarter 1 (Q1) Impact Report, showcasing significant strides in advancing emergency healthcare in Kenya. The report reflects our commitment to strengthening the emergency healthcare system to save lives.

In Q1, our focus on key initiatives was impactful. We actively advocated for policies, notably contributing to developing the enacted Emergency, Chronic, and Critical Illness Fund Regulations, enhancing accessibility and quality of emergency medical care. In addition, our targeted knowledge development initiatives, such as emergency medical care training programs for Community Health Workers (CHWs) and healthcare professionals, equipped more individuals with crucial skills to respond effectively to medical emergencies within the community and healthcare services. Furthermore, our collaborative research efforts, highlighted in our recent publication in the African Journal of Emergency Medicine, underscore our commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in Kenya’s emergency healthcare landscape.

I encourage you to review the Q1 Impact Report for a comprehensive overview of our achievements, challenges, and future plans. Your feedback and insights are invaluable as we strive to further our impact and reach our long-term goals.
