The Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation (EMKF) today donated a state-of-the-art Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) machine to the Emergency Department at Chuka County Referral Hospital.
The equipment was officially received by the CECM for Health, Dr. Gichuyia Nthuraku M’Riara, who lauded EMKF for its continued investment in strengthening emergency healthcare systems in the county.
Beyond the donation, EMKF is empowering frontline healthcare workers through practical, hands-on POCUS training in the Emergency Department, enhancing diagnostic capabilities, accelerating patient care, and reinforcing the county’s commitment to quality emergency medical services.
This initiative reflects EMKF’s dedication to building a skilled emergency care workforce while promoting the use of evidence-based tools across Kenya.
