Cyclone Idai: AKUH Nairobi team responds to emergency

The team of emergency medicine specialists, a paediatrician and nurses carried almost 2,000 kilograms of equipment and medical supplies to affected areas.

When the tropical cyclone Idai made landfall in mid-March in three Southern Africa countries, more than 700 people died and another 1.85 million people were affected.
